On 3 August 2026, the Hefei Manufacturing Go-Global Alliance and SIG Global officially signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum in Singapore. The two parties held in-depth discussions on the internationalisation needs of Hefei’s key industries, including new energy vehicles, integrated circuits, advanced equipment and new materials, with a focus on expanding into Singapore and Southeast Asian markets, connecting industry resources and building platforms for international cooperation. Both sides reached a strategic cooperation agreement.
Ye Weihan, Global Strategy President of SIG Global Singapore, shared practical insights from years of supporting Chinese enterprises, covering key considerations for establishing companies, operating businesses and expanding into regional markets in Singapore and Southeast Asia. He also introduced the region’s industrial advantages and strategic geographic value.
The two parties formally signed the Strategic Cooperation Memorandum. Under the agreement, they will work together to establish a one-stop overseas expansion service platform tailored to the internationalisation needs of Hefei manufacturing enterprises, providing full-lifecycle support for companies entering Singapore and Southeast Asian markets. Key areas of cooperation will include international business development, industry resource connections, business exchanges and the development of international cooperation platforms.
In terms of investment and market entry, SIG Global will provide consulting on the investment environment, industry policies, laws and regulations in Singapore and Southeast Asia, together with practical support covering company incorporation, tax and accounting compliance, bank account opening and human resources. These services will help enterprises establish their regional presence and manage cross-border operations more effectively.
At the same time, both parties will work together to connect enterprises with governments, industrial parks, industry associations, chambers of commerce and industry resources across Singapore and Southeast Asia. Focusing on sectors such as new energy vehicles, integrated circuits and advanced equipment, the cooperation will promote connections across industrial chains, supply chains and capital resources, helping enterprises integrate more effectively into local markets.
In addition, the two parties will strengthen Singapore–China industry exchanges through enterprise visits, industry matchmaking sessions, investment promotion events and specialised training. They will also explore the establishment of overseas service windows and industry cooperation platforms to facilitate the implementation of more collaborative projects.
During the signing event, SIG Global also brought together several ecosystem partners for in-depth discussions with representatives from the Hefei government and enterprises.
Ye Chunhua, Senior Vice President of the Foreign Direct Investment team at DBS Bank’s Institutional Banking Group, shared insights into how cross-border financial services can support Chinese enterprises establishing operations in Singapore, as well as their financing, investment and regional expansion needs.
Yu Yucheng, Senior Manager of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Singapore Company, introduced the local business ecosystem and institutional support available to Chinese enterprises entering Singapore, including ways for companies to integrate into the market and connect with local resources.
From strategic planning and financial services to local ecosystem connections, the participation of multiple stakeholders made the discussions more practical and provided valuable insights for Hefei manufacturing enterprises seeking to understand Southeast Asian markets and identify potential partners.
The participating guests subsequently engaged in open discussions on topics including international business expansion, cross-border investment and financial services.
The strategic cooperation marks an important connection between Hefei’s manufacturing industry resources and the local ecosystems of Singapore and Southeast Asia.
For Hefei manufacturing enterprises exploring overseas markets, Singapore serves as a key gateway to Southeast Asia, offering access to regional industry, financial and business resources. By using Singapore as a strategic base, companies can gain a deeper understanding of Southeast Asian markets while identifying opportunities for regional expansion and business development.
For SIG Global, establishing strategic cooperation with the Hefei Manufacturing Go-Global Alliance also enables the company to better understand the internationalisation needs of Hefei manufacturing enterprises. By leveraging its established network of industrial parks, financial institutions, professional service providers and business resources across Singapore and Southeast Asia, SIG Global can provide stronger support for companies expanding overseas.
From one strategic signing to long-term cooperation; from individual enterprises going global to broader industry collaboration.
SIG Global looks forward to working with the Hefei Manufacturing Go-Global Alliance, as well as governments, industry organisations, financial institutions and professional service providers, to support more high-quality Hefei manufacturing enterprises in expanding into Singapore and Southeast Asia and pursuing broader international growth opportunities.
