Malaysia-China Kuantan International Logistics Park is a national-level key industrial park jointly promoted and developed by the governments and leaders of China and Malaysia. The project is a collaborative effort involving China Harbour Engineering Company, Malaysia’s IJM Corporation, and Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port Group, and serves as an important node of the New Land-Sea Corridor.
The park covers a total planned area of approximately 460 hectares and is located in the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) of Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. It is adjacent to Kuantan Port, the largest port on Malaysia’s east coast, as well as the planned Kuantan International Airport. Leveraging the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), the park is connected to Port Klang, Malaysia’s largest port. Through its integrated “port-rail-park” transportation system, the logistics park forms a comprehensive transport network that enables coordinated regional development.
The park provides stable and comprehensive utilities such as water, electricity, and telecommunications, supporting enterprises to commence production quickly and enhance efficiency and quality. The overall master plan includes an industrial zone, commercial zone, supporting residential areas, and workers’ dormitories, offering flexibility to accommodate the production and development needs of resident enterprises through bare land, standardized factories, warehousing facilities, or various customized solutions.
Currently, Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park has completed three phases of development, covering a total area of approximately 3,500 acres. Phases I and II already host multiple enterprises, including leading companies in steel, non-ferrous metals, high-end equipment manufacturing, and advanced materials. Centered on international logistics and manufacturing, the park focuses on four key industries:
As a landmark project of China-Malaysia capacity cooperation, the park aims to develop a comprehensive industrial park centered on international logistics and manufacturing, establishing a China-ASEAN industrial cooperation demonstration zone.
